Finding the Right Attorney
|
|
Being charged with a crime can be devastating. Potential
sanctions may include loss of freedom, loss of driving privileges, fines, effect on employment, and damage to reputation,
among other consequences. Finding the right attorney is crucial.
It is important to ask questions and gather information
before hiring a lawyer. Keep in mind that the attorney will be working for you and with you in defense of your case.
Consult with several attorneys. Ask about the
lawyer's background, and the types of cases the attorney handles. Experience makes a difference.
